At White Oak Medicine, we believe true health care means understanding your whole self—not just treating symptoms. Our Health Education Series is a free, ongoing community offering designed to explore topics that support nervous system regulation, emotional wellness, and root-cause healing.

These classes are practical, approachable, and rooted in our whole-person philosophy of care. Whether you’re curious about holistic practices, looking for new tools, or just wanting to reconnect with yourself—this space is for you.

Each class is led by Veronica, FNP, PMHNP, or a featured presenter selected for their expertise and alignment with our whole-person approach. These classes bring a range of voices and perspectives to whole-person healing—part education, part experience, and always grounded in the idea that your body knows how to heal with the right support.

Classes are free and open to the public.

You don’t have to be a DPC member to attend, and are encouraged to bring a friend.

What You’ll Learn:

In this class, we’ll explore how permaculture offers a way to work with nature—not against her—to create resilient, abundant, and beautiful living systems. You’ll walk away with:

  • A clear understanding of what permaculture is (and what it’s not)

  • Practical examples of permaculture principles you can apply right away

  • An introduction to whole systems design for your home, garden, and beyond

  • Inspiration for creating sustainable rhythms that support both people and planet

This class is approachable, inspiring, and perfect for anyone curious about growing food, living more intentionally, or reconnecting with the land—no matter your starting point.

Featured Presenter: Aaron and Hollie Padgett of Harmony Hill Homestead

Gardeners · Homesteaders · Community Educators

We’re excited to welcome Aaron and Hollie Padgett, stewards of Harmony Hill Homestead in Columbus, as featured presenters in this session of the Health Education Series at White Oak Medicine.

These two plant people fell in love eight years ago over conversations about compost and rainwater catchment—and have been gardening together ever since. With a deep respect for nature’s rhythms and a shared passion for resilience, they’ve made it their mission to co-create with the land using permaculture principles that increase biodiversity, fertility, and sustainability.

At Harmony Hill Homestead, Aaron and Hollie live what they teach. From soil health to greywater systems, their work is rooted in the belief that healing the land goes hand in hand with healing ourselves and our communities. This class offers a glimpse into how everyday choices can lead to a more intentional, connected, and regenerative way of life.

Sharing their skills and knowledge with the community has always been part of their vision, and they are thrilled to be hosting a Permaculture class at White Oak Medicine!
