Auricular Acupuncture

NADA Auricular Acupuncture at White Oak Medicine

A quiet reset for your nervous system. A gentle return to yourself.

Auricular acupuncture is a simple, deeply calming treatment that uses five specific points on the ear to support nervous system regulation, emotional balance, detoxification, and trauma integration.

This non-verbal, low-intervention modality gently activates the body’s natural healing processes, helping to regulate the nervous system and restore a sense of inner steadiness. It’s particularly helpful for:

  • Anxiety, stress, and emotional overwhelm
  • Insomnia or sleep disturbances
  • Trauma support and emotional processing
  • Addiction recovery and withdrawal symptoms, including tobacco cessation
  • General nervous system reset and grounding

We use the NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) protocol, a well-established approach used in clinical, community, and trauma-informed settings for decades. It’s also known as Battlefield Acupuncture, originally developed for pain relief and nervous system stabilization in military care.

What to Expect

Auricular acupuncture is now available during your 1:1 sessions at White Oak Medicine. Whether we’re doing medical care, emotional work, or taper support, this gentle treatment can be included as part of your visit—especially when your nervous system needs a little extra support.

  • Five tiny needles gently placed on each ear
  • You may sit quietly with the needles while we talk—or simply rest in silence
  • No talking or processing is required
  • Most people describe the experience as calming, grounding, and subtly transformative

This is nervous system care that’s accessible, non-invasive, and powerful. It can be part of your plan of care as often as needed.

Group sessions are currently on hold, but we may offer occasional community gatherings in the future. Stay tuned for updates if you'd like to experience auricular acupuncture in a shared setting.
