Sometimes healing begins the moment we feel seen. Sometimes clarity arrives not from more data—but from listening deeply to the wisdom already within.
Hawthorn: The Heart Guardian
Protection | Courage | Renewal
Hawthorn teaches that healing requires both strength and tenderness. She protects what is vulnerable while strengthening what must endure. This path is named for that medicine.
The Hawthorn Path is the clinical entry point into Functional Medicine at White Oak. It is where we slow down, take in the full picture, and determine what kind of care is truly indicated.
This is a comprehensive intake and discernment process where we trace the threads of your story—physical symptoms, emotional patterns, nervous system responses, hormonal shifts, and lived experience—and bring them into a coherent clinical understanding.
From here, we clarify what is clinically appropriate and what is not. This may include focused recommendations, rhythm restoration, or confirmation that another form of support is better suited at this time.
The Hawthorn Path is a commitment to clarity.
It is the gate where we assess honestly, without urgency or pressure, and choose an appropriate way forward.
Whether you continue your care here or carry what you learn forward on your own, this beginning is designed to offer grounding, direction, and a clearer sense of what your system is asking for now.
The Hawthorn Path
The Hawthorn Path is a focused, time-limited functional medicine container designed for people who need clarity, clinical discernment, and a grounded next step.
This work begins with a comprehensive two-hour evaluation where we listen deeply and look at the full picture—physical symptoms, health history, emotional and nervous system patterns, rhythms, and lived context. From there, we move deliberately rather than reactively.
The Hawthorn Path unfolds over 90 days and includes:
✧ A two-hour initial evaluation
✧ Every-other-week (Q2W) follow-up visits
✧ Clinical interpretation and sequencing of care
✧ Individualized recommendations based on your physiology and lived experience
When appropriate, this may include targeted testing (such as GI-MAP, HTMA, or other labs) and specific dietary or lifestyle interventions. Testing and supplements are recommended judiciously, discussed transparently, and billed separately.
This container is designed to start quieting the noise, establish stability, and help you understand what your body is asking for—so that next steps are chosen with clarity rather than urgency.
At the end of 90 days, we pause and reassess together. From there, we decide collaboratively whether it makes sense to:
✧ continue functional medicine care,
✧ transition into Direct Primary Care,
✧ engage in group-based rhythm work,
✧ or complete care with a clear plan in hand.
There is no automatic renewal.
Clinical focus areas commonly addressed through the Hawthorn Path may include:
✧ Mast cell activation and related histamine-driven patterns
✧ Thyroid dysregulation (hyperthyroid, hypothyroid, autoimmune thyroid disease)
✧ Metabolic dysfunction, including insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes
✧ Hormonal imbalances across the lifespan
✧ Autoimmune and inflammatory conditions where nervous system and metabolic regulation are central
Care is individualized, and not all conditions are appropriate for functional medicine management. The Hawthorn Path exists to determine what is clinically indicated and what is not.

The Hawthorn Path is offered as a complete 90-day course of care.
$1,000 per month for three months
